If you're in Alfred Cove and want proper fish and chips, Tankk has two shops in Perth's southern suburbs and our Melville Plaza location is your closest. You'll find us at Shop 29/380 Canning Hwy, Bicton — just a quick trip whether you're coming from the Alfred Cove Nature Reserve or heading home after a walk along the Swan River foreshore.

We're a family-run business that keeps things simple: fresh, locally sourced WA seafood, cooked to order. No sitting under lights, no shortcuts. Just good fish and chips done the way it should be.

What's on the Menu

Our menu covers all the classics plus a few extras. The Classic Fish & Chips (medium or large) is the go-to for most people, but you've also got options like Local WA Snapper, Barramundi fillet, and Local Gummy Shark if you want something specific. If you prefer grilled over battered, we do lemon pepper grilled house fish and a low-gluten flour grilled option too.

Beyond that, there's Abrolhos sea scallops, crispy battered Aussie prawns, salt & pepper calamari, battered squid rings, and house-made potato scallops. The fish tacos — Classic or Mexican — are popular if you're after something different, and the Captain's fish burger is solid if you want something you can eat with one hand on the way home from Tompkins Park.
